1. Angel Porrino Awards Vdara Spa Salon with Rain Cosmetics’ Battle of the Brushes Prize

    LAS VEGAS - (August 26, 2011) On Thursday, August 25, Rain Cosmetics and Blush Boutique Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas held their semi-annual Battle of the Brushes Makeup Competition hosted byHolly’s Word and Absinthe star Angel Porrino. The theme for the event was “Cartoon Time Machine,” where competitors had one hour to create a character out of its element, stuck in the past or headed towards the future.

    Competitors included top makeup artists from The Salon at Encore, Kim Vō Salon at The Mirage, Vdara Spa Salon, Square Salon, and Rio Spa and Salon. 

    Cirque du Soleil’s Zumanity Hair and Makeup Supervisor Roger J. Stricker judged the event alongside two-time Battle of the Brushes winner Natasha Chamberlin and Rain Cosmetics’ owner and co-founder, Lori Montoya.

    In the end, it was Maile B from Vdara Spa Salon who took home the winning prize for her “Poison Ivy in Sin City” creation.

  2. Angel Porrino to Host Rain Cosmetics’ Battle of the Brushes Makeup Competition at Blush Boutique Nightclub

    LAS VEGAS - (August 18, 2011) On Thursday, August 25, Rain Cosmetics will hold the Battle of the Brushes competition at Blush Boutique Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas. The event will be hosted by Holly’s World and Absinthe star Angel Porrino. Doors open at 10pm and the competition will begin at midnight.

    Las Vegas’ top salons will have one hour to showcase their creativity and talent around the theme of “Cartoon Time Machine” in front of a prestigious judging panel and enthusiastic crowd of salon supporters.

    Participants in the competition will include The Salon at Encore, Kim VōSalon at The Mirage, Spa and Salon Vdara, The Spa and Salon at Aria, Square Colour Salon + Spa, and Rio Spa and Salon.

    Fifty lucky ladies will receive Rain gift bags and all attendees will have an opportunity to win additional Rain giveaways.
